Dave Specter's Adventures in Guitar series kicked off 8 years ago with a debut performance featuring one of the most in demand, talented and versatile American blues guitarists, Billy Flynn.
Billy returns as Dave's guest on Sept. 5th.
From sharing the Apollo Theater stage with Keith Richards, Eric Clapton and Billy Gibbons to backing Beyoncé at a Presidential Inaugural Ball to winning a Grammy as a guitarist on the Cadillac Records soundtrack,  Billy Flynn's 4 decade career in the blues has also included dozens of recording sessions, worldwide tours and most recently, the critically acclaimed album release "Lonesome Highway" on Delmark Records.
He's toured and recorded with Jimmy Dawkins, Kim Wilson, Billy Boy Arnold, Mississippi Heat and a long list of other stellar blues artists.
He's nominated for 2017 Blues Blast awards for both Traditional Blues Album and
Male Blues Artist of the year.

Dave Specter's Adventures in Guitar series, which has been running at SPACE for the past eight years, has featured some of the finest talents in blues and jazz including Lurrie Bell, John Primer, Steve Freund, Jeff Parker, Donald Kinsey, Tad Robinson, Bobby Broom, Guy King, Nick Moss, Rick Holmstrom, Eddie Shaw and Joel Paterson. 
Specter has been a fixture on the Chicago blues scene for the past 3 decades and has appeared on over 35 albums as a recording artist and producer.
