This August, there’s a show at SPACE almost every night of the week. This Friday, don’t miss the New Orleans blues and funk of Walter “Wolfman” Washington. Next week, Grammy-winning jazz bassist-composer Marcus Miller returns to the club for two shows. New Orleans funk keyboardist Jon Cleary is here later this month for an awesome night at the club featuring his stellar band.

SPACE welcomes songwriter Dan Navarro (of Lowen & Navarro) with Gerald Dowd on Sunday, August 14. The following Sunday, Texas singer-songwriter Radney Foster, whose hits include “Crazy Over You” (with Foster & Lloyd), “Just Call Me Lonesome” and “Nobody Wins,” returns to to the club. Twin Cities rockers The Honeydogs share a bill in August with folk duo Dusty Heart.

Country guitarist and singer Junior Brown returns to SPACE later this month for a night of honky-tonk and Western swing. Jon Langford’s alt-country band The Waco Brothers are here with Philly rock band The Snails on August 25.

This Week: Tonight, some tickets are available at the door for alt-country songwriter Richard Buckner. On Thursday, New Orleans’ artists Kristin Diable and Luke Winslow-King share a bill. Friday, bluegrass mandolinist Sierra Hull performs songs from her new album, Weighted Mind. Bay Area folk singer Sean Hayes is here on Saturday with Brother. And on Sunday, SoCal country singer Sam Outlaw returns to the club.

Tonight, SPACE is excited to welcome John Oates — one-half of the legendary duo Hall & Oates — for a headline appearance on Saturday. Only a few tickets remain, so act fast if you want to catch one of pop music’s all-time heroes!

Last up, if you’re a fan of comeback soul singers like Sharon Jones, Charles Bradley or Lee Fields, don’t miss Minneapolis old-school soul man Sonny Knight on Sunday night in SPACE’s main room. After recording as a teenager in the ’60s, Knight left the music biz, only to return this year with a new album called I’m Still Here.
