Sisters Lily & Madeleine bring their folk harmonies to SPACE on Friday. On Saturday night, Midwestern rockers Red Wanting Blue will be back at SPACE for an acoustic evening in support of their latest album, Little America.
Austin folk duo Penny & Sparrow make their way to the club on Oct. 20. Nashville singer-songwriter Nora Jane Struthers brings her band, The Party Line, to SPACE on Oct. 21 with one of our favorite locals, Al Scorch, who recently signed with Bloodshot Records.
Split Single’s sold-out show at SPACE earlier this year was a major highlight of the winter season. Jason Narducy and co. return on Nov. 7. Cas Haley toured with Trevor Hall last fall. On Nov. 10, Haley will make his headline debut at the club. On Nov. 12, SPACE welcomes Americana singer-songwriter Eilen Jewell. Her new record is Sundown Over Ghost Town. Nellie McKay looks back to the ’60s on her new album, My Weekly Reader. Don’t miss the lovable ukelele-toting singer-songwriter on Nov. 14.

Indianapolis sisters Lily & Madeleine bring their folk-pop harmonies to the club, with support from Shannon Hayden, on Friday, Oct. 16. Grammy-nominated musician Justin Roberts is one of the true all-stars of the indie family music scene. He returns to SPACE with his Not Ready for Naptime Players band for a special Halloween Party on Saturday, Oct. 31, at 11 a.m.
Nora Jane Struthers looks inward with autobiographical songs on her new album, Wake. Catch her with her band, The Party Line, on Wednesday, Oct. 21. Chicago native Lee DeWyze returns on Sunday, Nov. 29. The 2010 American Idol winner got back to his acoustic-folk roots on his most recent album, Frames. Unfortunately, the Pat DiNizio show has been canceled. But on Friday, Oct. 2, you can still see Freedy Johnston, a gifted songwriter whose lyrics paint witty, poignant portraits of life gone wrong.

Catch Bloodshot recording artist Barrence Whitfield here on Thursday and try a bourbon from local purveyor Few Spirits, who recently developed a small-batch bourbon for the Chicago indie label’s 21st birthday. Innovative jazz trumpeter Christian Scott has just announced his new album, Stretch Music, via Noisey. Scott will be here with his 7-piece Stretch band on Sept. 8.
