This Week: Tonight, Tyrone Wells brings his “Cover to Cover” tour to the club. East Nashville songwriter and “Outlaw Country” radio host Elizabeth Cook is here Friday at 8:30 p.m. with songwriter Don Gallardo. 

This Weekend: Journalist Mark Caro teams up with songwriter Steve Dawson to discuss the creative process at our special matinee show on Saturday at 1 p.m. On Saturday night, Robbie Fulks brings together a crack band (Duke Levine, Nora O’Connor, Scott Ligon, Todd Phillips and Alex Hall) to perform songs from his recent album, Upland Stories , as well as music from his back catalog as well as new and unreleased songs. On Sunday, country-rock pioneer Jim Messina comes to SPACE for a special full-band concert.

Also this Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m., SPACE partners with Evanston Oktoberfest, presenting music from The Dave Specter Blues Band and The Western Elstons. The beer festival takes place at 1818 Maple Ave., and features local vendors like Temperance Beer Co., Sketchbook Brewing and more. 

Coming Up: Next Tuesday, Oct. 18, Maria Muldaur brings her New Orleans-flavored “Bluesiana” band to SPACE. Next Wednesday, Cuban jazz pianist Harold Lopez-Nussa performs with his trio in support of his new album, El Viaje. Minneapolis songwriter Mason Jennings returns to SPACE on Saturday, Oct. 22, in support of his most recent album, Wild Dark Metal. Louisiana bluesman Eric Lindell is here for a special solo show on Oct. 27. And Chicago native Eric D. Johnson (pictured) brings his revitalized Fruit Bats project to SPACE on Friday, Oct. 28.

On Sale Friday: Nashville singer-songwriter Elizabeth Cook comes to SPACE this fall in support of her new album, Exodus Of Venus. Read about the album and listen via Wall Street Journal. Blues-rock guitarist Marc Ford (formerly of The Black Crowes) will be here in November with his Neptune Blues Club band. Tickets for both shows go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Coming Up: Next Wednesday, pop-rock singer-songwriter Howie Day is back at the club in support of his new album, LanternsRaul Malo of The Mavericks comes to SPACE for three shows over two nights, on Aug. 26-27. We’ve just opened up a handful of tickets for Saturday’s late show, and limited tickets remain for the Friday show.

Blues master Taj Mahal is here for two shows with his trio on Thursday, Sept. 1. The two-time Grammy winner was recently honored with the Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement award for his 50-year career. SPACE welcomes neo-soul trio KING back to the club this fall with support from D.C. psychedelic-soul singer Nick Hakim. Check out Nick’s song “Cold” below and don’t miss your chance to see this rising star at the club.

This Week: Tonight, we welcome jazz trio Wertico Cain & Gray. On Friday, indie-folk quartet River Whyless is here. On Sunday, L.A. singer-songwriter Dan Navarro returns to the club with special guest Gerald Dowd. Please note that Saturday’s Brenda Russell show has been canceled due to a scheduling conflict.
