BECCA STEVENS, APRIL 28: Becca Stevens’ revelatory new album Perfect Animal marks a quantum musical leap for the North Carolina-bred, New York-based artist.  It boasts her most personally-charged songwriting and her most urgent, impassioned singing to date, along with vivid, adventurous arrangements that show off her fiercely expressive guitar work as well as the talents of her longstanding band: keyboardist-accordionist Liam Robinson, bassist Chris Tordini and drummer-percussionist Jordan Perlson.

CHRIS PUREKA, MAY 2 : Pureka’s latest release, Chimera II, is an expression of transition, collecting seven tracks old and new, borrowed and original. Like its predecessor, it’s both a coda and prelude, an assortment of songs that are vital and revealing and yet don’t quite fit within the focus of her full-length albums. The name refers to the three-headed creature of Greek mythology, part serpent, part lion, part goat. It’s also a scientific term that describes an organism derived from two genetically distinct types of cells—a nod toward Pureka’s background as a research biologist. Both contexts are apt: Chimera II is a grab bag of curiosities.

CLAUDIA SCHMIDT AND SALLY ROGERS, MAY 10: Claudia and Sally have been singing together for almost 35 years, weaving their stunning harmonies and double dulcimer work and moving and hilarious stories into a performance that makes you laugh, cry and rejoice.

LATE SHOWS ADDED: We’ve added a couple of special late shows on March 14 and 28 (Doors open at 9:30 p.m.). Free with RSVP (or $5 at the door). Check out Walker’s “Logan Run” mix here.
