On Oct. 3, Shovels & Rope come to SPACE for a very intimate evening. Reserve your tickets tomorrow morning, as this one is sure to sell out quickly. Nashville-via-Toronto country singer Lindi Ortega will share a bill with fellow Nashville songwriter Andrew Combs at SPACE on Sept. 25. We’re excited to present Joan Shelley in concert at the club on Oct. 14, with Chicago-based experimental-folk guitarist James Elkington. Watch the Louisville folk singer’s Tiny Desk concert here.

Singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb, whose 1994 song “Stay (I Missed You)” went straight to the top of the Billboard charts, comes to SPACE on Oct. 24. Nashville indie-folk band Humming House returns to SPACE with Becca Mancari on Oct. 18. Americana singer-songwriter Michaela Anne, who supported Sam Outlaw at the club earlier this year, will return to SPACE for a headline show on Oct. 2.

SPACE and Silver Wrapper present Wisconsin eclectic folk band Horseshoes & Hand Grenades in a co-bill with Bozeman’s Kitchen Dwellers on Sept. 29. Watch the band’s Audiotree session hereDead River Revival, helmed by JC Brooks and the Uptown Sound’s founder and guitarist Billy Bungeroth and Second City Musical Director Julie Nichols, bring their rock and soul revue to the club on Sept. 24. Don’t Miss Nashville Songwriter Andrew Combs at SPACE Next Week!

Nashville songwriter Andrew Combs, who recently opened for soul singer Anderson East at SPACE, will return to the club on Wednesday, August 10th. After performing at Bonnaroo and touring with Kacey Musgraves, Combs will wrap up the year with a Midwestern tour with his band. The show will also bring Charleston’s Susto to Evanston for their debut at the club. Combs’ sophomore album, All These Dreams, was named to The Guardian’s list of 10 Best Country Albums and Rolling Stone ’s 40 Best Country Albums. On Sale Now: Minneapolis rock band The Twilight Hours has just released its second album, Black Beauty, and will hit SPACE on Sept. 23. Tickets for the show are on sale now! Singer Megon McDonough will return to the club this fall for a special evening of folk music. Check out a recent story about Megon in the Chicago Tribune.

Coming Up: Next month brings a lot of great emerging acts to SPACE. Asheville’s River Whyless is coming to the club on Friday, Aug. 12. Don’t miss the eclectic folk quartet, who NPR’s Bob Boilen said performed “one of the best sets” at last weekend’s Newport Folk Festival. Bluegrass phenom Sierra Hull is headed to SPACE in support of her new album, Weighted Mind, next Friday. Nashville songwriter Andrew Combs, who The Tennessean calls “one of the area’s brightest young musicians,” will bring his full band to the club for a show with Charleston’s Susto on Aug. 10. New Orleans songwriters Kristin Diable and Luke Winslow-King will share a bill next Thursday at the club. L.A. country singer Sam Outlaw is back next Sunday for a night of his “SoCal country.”

This Week: Alt-country songwriter Cory Branan is here on Thursday. Progressive bluegrass group The Travelin’ McCourys are joined by Nora Jane Struthers this Friday. Only a few tickets remain for Saturday’s Loudon Wainwright show at the club. And Sunday, Nashville songwriter Caitlin Canty is here in support of Lost In The Valley, her new EP produced by Jeffrey Foucault.
