This Weekend: On Friday night, we are very excited to welcome back the Queen of Rock, Wanda Jackson. Come out early to catch the opener, The Western Elstons, some of Chicago’s best country-western musicians. Saturday, don’t miss an early show with New York folk singer Lucy Kaplansky and our late show with songwriter Gabriel Kahane . Sunday brings a matinee folk show to the club with cult songwriter Michael Smith on a co-bill with Anne Hills.

Don’t Miss Upcoming New Orleans Shows: Christian Scott, Anders Osborne, Terrance Simien & More

This fall, the SPACE calendar is brimming with incredible artists who have deep ties with the Crescent City.

On Sept. 8, WDCB welcomes New Orleans native Christian Scott to the club with his Stretch Septet. The innovative jazz trumpeter, who is the nephew of tenor saxophonist “Big Chief” Donald Harrison Jr., has just announced his new album, Stretch Music, which brings together jazz with hip-hop and indie rock. Scott, who attended Berklee College of Music, was even the inspiration behind the character Delmond Lambreaux on HBO’s Treme. Get your tickets to see this exciting contemporary jazz artist now!
