Taj Mahal Trio Comes to SPACE this Fall
Legendary blues singer, songwriter and guitarist Taj Mahal is back on the road with his trio this fall, and SPACE is excited to have two shows with the two-time Grammy Award winner on Thursday, September 1st, at 7 and 9:30 p.m.
Taj was recently awarded the Americana Music Association’s Lifetime Achievement honor for his 50-year career in music. Born in Harlem but raised in Massachusetts, Taj moved to California in the mid-’60s and released his debut self-titled album in 1968, which featured guitarists Ry Cooder and Jessie Ed Davis.
“What inspires me most about my career is that I’ve been able to make a living playing the music that I always loved and wanted to play since the early ’50s,” Mahal recently told the Albuquerque Journal.
Don’t miss Taj in these special, intimate trio shows at SPACE this fall! Tickets are available here.
