We’ve still got some of our best shows coming up before the end of summer. Get your tickets now for these August shows.

Only a handful of General Admission Seats remain for Bettye LaVette, who The New York Times recently called “one of the greatest of all soul singers.” LaVette will make her debut performance at SPACE on Aug. 23.

Jimmie Vaughan paid tribute to his late brother, Stevie Ray Vaughan, at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony earlier this year. The Texas blues master will be back at SPACE on Aug. 20.

Another pair of Texas legends, Alejandro Escovedo & Joe Ely, return to SPACE for two special duo shows on August 28 and 29.

An emerging artist we’re excited to welcome back to the club is New Orleans musician (and North Michigan native) Luke Winslow-King (pictured above), who brings his blues, folk and trad-jazz sounds to Evanston on Aug. 22.

SPACE News: Chicago Tribune music critic Greg Kot reviewed Barrence Whitfield & The SavagesUnder The Savage Sky, calling the new album, “the toughest sounding Savages recording yet.” Barrence and co. hit SPACE on Sept. 3. A handful of SPACE artists made Rolling Stone Country’s list of “30 Great Country Albums of 2015 You Probably Didn’t Hear.” Don’t miss North Carolina duo Mandolin Orange — which RS compares to Gillian Welch and Dave Rawlings — on Sept. 23. Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio recently made a plea for alternative-rock duo Ween to reunite. In the meantime, you can catch Gene Ween at SPACE on October 1.

Song Of The Week: Kate Davis, “Only Growing Old.” The NYC-based multi-instrumentalist and vocalist just signed with Concord Music Group and is currently working on material for her debut album. For now, check out this stunning track, which Davis posted to her SoundCloud page. Catch her at SPACE on Sept. 14.
