Happy New Year! Don’t Miss These January Events: Movie Night, Ezra Furman, Terrance Simien & More!

Happy New Year, folks! SPACE’s New Year’s Eve shows with The Milk Carton Kids are sold out, but another great option for ringing in the New Year is First Night Evanston, with performances by Regina Carter, Corky Siegel and more. Go to firstnightevanston.net for more info.

We’re excited for the inaugural Lagunitas Movie Night on Friday, Jan. 2. We’ll be showing The Royal Tenebaums at 7 p.m. and Fargo at 9:15 p.m. There will be Lagunitas IPA on draft and free popcorn. Don’t forget to RSVP here.

On Saturday, Jan. 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., SPACE is hosting a special FREE concert by the singers of the Etc. Music School Choir in Evanston and the Nairobi Girls Chorale from Kenya. Come and hear both traditional African and American folk songs, as well as African gospel and American rock arrangements by these two talented, multi-faceted groups of young artists.
