Matt The Electrician
Once upon a time, there was a youg man named Matt Sever. He lived in Austin, TX, and he worked as a journeyman electrician. Every morning, when it was still dark outside, he would go to work, and wire houses all day long in the blistering Texas heat. When he would come home, again, it was dark outside. And then, sometimes, with no time to shower or change his clothes, he would go straight to the bars and nightclubs of Austin to play his songs for whomever would listen. And he would apologize for his appearance, and explain to the audience that he was an electrician, and he found a certain nobility in this, even if no one wanted to sit too close to the stage. So they called him Matt The Electrician, and he did not mind this, for he was proud of himself, for there is no shame in a hard days work.
But eventually, he quit his job as an electrician, to spend more time writing and playing songs, and the name stuck with him, because everyone needs an electrician sometimes.
Matt continues to tour all over the world, and released his 7th studio album, “Accidental Thief” in June of 2011.

Howdy folks, my good friend Robert Steel is getting close to his goal of raising enough money to fund his new CD, Wolf....i played some horns on this record, and i love what i've heard so far....Robert is a truly unique voice, and i hope you'll check out the link in the comments below, and consider giving him some of your hard earned money!

Dear Matt and Sever family, I have had a whole lot of friends asking me if you were willing to come back for another backyard shindig....sooo, if you find yourself cruising the Midwest again this season, we would be happy to host again:-) and hopefully, it won't be as sweltering hot. Hey Matt, I really enjoyed your set at the Richard Thompson show. Good playing, singing and songwriting, and you were thoroughly entertaining. Quite a feat to hold an audience of impatient RT fans when it's you standing between them and their fix. But you had us all in the palm of your hand. Way to go. I'll send you a recording of your show forthwith.
